Cork’s Interactive Science Exhibition takes place at the City Hall from the 14th-18th Nov 2009.  Last year was a massive event wih many families attending.  This year should be bigger and better.

The exhibition aims to interest 10-15 year olds in science, engineering, technology and maths through fun activities, puzzles and games. Regular exhibitors include UCC, CIT, the Tyndall National Institute, Lifetime Lab and FÁS, along with Cork City Council, Cork Electronics Industry Association, the Garda Siochána and the Defence Forces, plus local technology-based businesses.

The Boardwalk Bar & Grill was delighted to host for lunch the Cork Photo walk group last Saturday.    

The group started their walk at the Montenotte Hotel and made their way down to the Boardwalk for lunch.  

After lunch 4 of the group were able to enjoy a trip down the harbour on the Boardwalk Bar & Grill speedboat.

A great day for Cork & Swansea.  The Ferry Julia that will operate the Cork to Swansea route arrived in Cork City Quay today.

The Ferry is due to start service on the 01st march 2010.  It will be great to have the sevice back for the City/County & Region.

Gloria Jean’s are going to opening a new outlet at the Pod on Grand Parade Cork.  The Pod was part of the €8m upgrade of Grand Parade in Cork.   A new section of Boardwalk has also been open.

The U.S clothing store Gap is to open at the new Opera Lane devlopment in Cork City. Its is the 1st Gap store outside Dublin in Ireland.

The new store will display Gap, Bannana Republic, Old Navy & Athleta lins.
